Bus strike

Today Kristina and I went to the gym in the morning. I did 45 minutes of cardio and then arms. I still feel like a complete gym amateur because I my form is pretty bad and I still cannot touch my toes, but I really am trying my best. I realized that the best thing about this gym is the lack of wifi and cell service. (that or the tanning bed available in the gym..hahah it cracks me up every time and I think it is be free to use) —>

The gym is like a cement box, you can’t get a signal. It’s awesome! At first it really bugged me because I couldn’t download songs on Spotify but it also prevents me from scrolling on my phone instead of actually exercising.

At night I was supposed to go hangout with Sara but there is a bus strike today so I didn’t want to walk half an hour in the dark so we rescheduled for tomorrow. I could have walked and it would probably be okay, but I just hate walking alone in the dark. It scares me when I am alone and everything I have been taught growing up is against it.

I stayed home and made nachos for the first time here. The nacho chips are super over priced here and they are sort of thick and oily. Similar to the ones you can buy at the movie theatre, but the bag is opaque so I couldn’t have known. The food here is good, the cheese is so cheap compared to home and the variety is large, but France lacks many of the comfort foods of home. At least I am expanding my palate. :)
