We're going down?
Today we travelled back from Vienna to Nice and then Antibes. We rolled up to the airport incredibly early. You never know with these European airports if they are going to be crazy busy with customs and security, but this was not the case in Austria… Check-in was automated, security barely took 5 minutes and we were left with 3 hours to kill at the airport. Oh well I would rather be early than run again… I think we had enough of that this trip.
Our flight had a bit of a scary landing. There was a lot of turbulence and then when we went to land the pilot pulled up last minute because we were redirected by air traffic control. We had to circle around in turbulence until it was our turn to land which was stressful for everyone. We were flying quite low when we circled which was freaky because I heard a bird screech past the wing, which is I recall can be really bad for the jets if they run into them… Yikes.
We were very thankful to land safely. Kristina and I laughed after the flight because we both got nervous and messaged some loved ones when we were waiting to land! Haha we are such babies…it’s funny how easily we are reminded of how valuable family and life is. It was just some turbulence but that was enough to spook us.
LOOK AT THIS VIEW OVER THE ALPS THOUGH! Worth the turbulence?
