Hostesses with the mostest
I was up to all hours last night so I was very exhausted at school. I fell asleep for a 2 hour nap when I got home, did some work and then the girls came over for wine and cheese. Emma and Kristina did all the planning on this one so I got to sit back and enjoy the party! It went so smoothly I was impressed, great music, great chats, all around a great time. I was in no shortage of girl time tonight which was awesome because I have gotten very used to hanging out with mostly boys the last 8 months!
P.S We are amateurs at opening wine bottles! At home the cheap wine we buy is always twist off so its fair to see we are struggling. We even somehow cracked the neck on one bottle…
When it got later we decided to go to BAM, a bar in the neighbourhood. We b-lined to the mini dance floor down stairs and were having a great time dancing to 2000’s hits from the Black Eyed Peas when the manager came down and pulled our friend Shrute to the side and asked if we were going to buy any drinks. I think Shrute was pretty stunned by the question because we had only been there for like 10 minutes but the answer was no. I wasn’t drinking and some of the girls would have bought something but weren’t ready in that minute. He was so aggressive he told us that we all had to buy a drink OR GET OUT! LOL what!!!! I have never had that happen before, in Canada it is sort of assumed you should buy a drink but its much more relaxed on the timing. So awkward… once that happened some of us called it a night and went home and the other half the group went out further and as I am told eventually ended up back at BAM and bought drinks anyways. Haha so silly.
CULTURE LESSON: Read the bar, if everyone has a drink in hand you better get one or get OUT!
