The wonders of budget travel
Today we took the good ‘ol train to Nice for our flight to London. This trip was somewhat poorly planned, they saw it was cheaper to fly to London and sleep here for the night then head out in the morning but I was looking at google flights and found we should have just waited a weekend and fly direct there for cheaper and less hassle than this travel loop were on. Oh well you live and you learn, our flights have been like 20 euros each with Ryan Air so its very budget travel. We didn’t communicate well so I accidentally booked my connecting flight and so did Emma so my flight was 40 euros. :( DANGIT!!!
Our flight was as budget as they come… You can only bring “one small bag” which is smaller than a carry on and then I assumed I could get away with a shopping bag with my sneakers but was informed that was not going to fly so I just shoved it all in my little Jansport backpack haha. They don’t even give you water on the plane so I was thankful it was only a 2 hr flight! You really do get what you pay for and I’d rather go without water and save like 60 euros.
I guess the lesson is if you are going to fly budget you need to bring you own luxury. Pack snacks, a neck pillow and bring your IPad and you are basically on par with Westjet…. minus the reclining seats. You’ll survive.
