Frikadeller (Danish Meatballs)

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 kg meat (1/2 beef, 1/2 turkey)

  • 1 large onion grated fine

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tbsp salt

  • 2 tsp pepper

  • 1 cup flour (can also use potato flakes)

  • 1 1/4 cup milk

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Mix meat, onion, eggs, S&P, flour and milk. Mix should be light and airy.

  2. Rest in fridge for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Use table spoon to form oblong balls and fry in butter or oil.

  4. Ideally high 2-3 minutes each side and then reduce heat and continue frying for 10 minutes turning once in a while.
