2 types of travellers
Today is the day we head to Portugal! I woke up nice and early to make sure I had time to find a backpack for the trip. I only have my Jansport school backpack so I was hoping to find something bigger for 20 days of backpacking. Simple quest right?
Unfortunately Antibes is not known for its sporting good stores. I walked around town and found a cute one at Jack and Jones, it wasn’t huge but hung up in the store it seemed much larger than my backpack and it only cost 20 euros! What a deal!
When I got home I held it up to my Jansport and seriously laughed out loud at what I had done. It’s maybe 2 or 3 inches taller and definitely skinnier hahaha! Omg... yikes.
I have to work with what I’ve got so I did an expert job of rolling up all my clothes and pulled it off! If I’ve learned anything from my dad in travelling, it’s that you never need as much as you pack. The guy has pulled off bringing this tiny carry on side bag on multiple family trips and always seemed to still have more appropriate clothes for the occasion than I did. I channeled my inner Hani and just packed the basics (except for a somewhat unpractical skirt that I just love).
Hahaha two types of travellers.
Kristina is pretty sick and Sabrina feels like she’s coming down with something so we had a pretty humorous travel day. I think we were all a little sleepy and excited so everything was hilarious to us. We slummed it once again with a easyJet Ryan air transfer combo but still had a great time.
