Prague Day 2
We knew it was going to be a very busy tourist day in Prague so we had an early start. We went to see the Astronomical clock before too many crows gathered around it. We also walked over St. Charles bridge to see the John Lennon wall. Sabrina cracked me up because she looked at me and said “Wow I am really feeling the world peace and love here” which is exactly the point of the wall hahaha. I can tell she is pretty tired.
After the wall we went up to the to look at the Prague castle and old town. It was beautiful and the perfect day to do more sitting and people watching haha. After we walked to see swans on the river. It felt a bit like Grandville island with a man making bubbles for the kids and people feeding the birds.
For lunch hunted down traditional sausages at Lokal Dlouhaaa. All of the sausages had gluten so I got a plate of roast beef and some of the best mashed potatoes I have ever had. They were called smashed potatoes with onion. So good. We shared a table with a girl from California who is doing her entire degree in Rome. Could you imagine! The craziest part is it is cheaper for her to fly back and fourth to Europe and study here than at home. How insane is that!?
We were so sluggish and had meat brain by the time we were done. Sabrina and I walked along the river and had a nap in the park. Did we go back for more chimney cakes you wonder?… You better believe I was back to see our pal! She wasn’t working when we got there but the delicious gluten free chimney cakes were waiting for me. Because they had some prepared it wasn’t fresh off the fire this time, which was a down grade from yesterday but still awesome!
We made nachos for dinner and went for a little adventure for snacks late. I wish we would have gone out to experience some of Pragues night life but neither of us had the energy or desire to. We had a nice night in, instead.
