It's a lifestyle

Today was so warm and sunny. I went for a jog to the marina and I found a cool little platform/ pier to do my legs workout. They were giving out under me trying to do jump lunges so I took it easy and stretched for a while.

There is a cultural phenomenon here…a game called Pétanque. From what I understand its is basically the same as Bocce ball/ lawn bowling except the balls are all silver and it is INCREDIBLY POPULAR.

Any sunny day you can go to the promenade and see them playing in big groups. It is mostly elderly people but sometimes there are families playing. It is awesome because it is such a great social event for older people to get together and get outside.

The french really know how to live, I think we should really take notes. They are thin, the walk everywhere, they love wine, they gather outside, people go to the beach in their parkas just to hangout with family, and they have fantastic food. Their biggest down fall is the non-stop smoking but honestly they seem happier and healthier than the majority of North America so I will let them have their vice, everyone has one. Mine is sugar lol and social media ATM but I am really trying to break that habit right now.
