Finnish store
Today I had my 3rd french class in the morning. I am starting to grow my list of vocabulary but am not confident speaking because my accent is horrendous haha! Later, Sara and I went to “Nordic Temptations” a little shop which offers products from Finland and Sweden. Sara tells me that Antibes is a popular vacation spot for rich Swedes and Finns. The shop was so cute and of course reminded me a lot of Ikea. They had all the classics like gingersnap cookies and the colourful napkins. There also had a selection of stranger items such as bear meat in a can, and reindeer sausages. We bought some snacks then went back to my house to make chicken salads and mimosas for dinner. Sara got my to try Salmiakki, a popular Finnish chocolate which has a liquorice like filling. I was surprised that I enjoyed it because I don’t typically like black liquorice, maybe I am acquiring a taste!
