Deep Clean and Monoprix

I didn’t get much sleep last night and woke up at 5am because of the jet lag, but because I was up I got to watch the sky change colours over Antibes. We have an amazing view of terracotta rooftops.

Our place is actually super cute and I am really excited about it. Its a bit of a mess right now with all our luggage but it is very french and has a ton of character.

I took most of the morning to deep clean my new bedroom. It was pretty dusty..the whole house is pretty dusty but we are fixing that!

Emma and I went for a little walk and grocery shopped at Monoprix the mini Walmart of France. The groceries are a bit pricey but the cheese and meat is really reasonable. I found the store a bit overwhelming because it is pretty hard to tell if food is gluten free so I sort of stuck to foods I knew like Barilla G-free pasta and Boursin. I found gluten free bread but it was really expensive so I said no for now. Honestly grocery shopping reminded me of how incredibly far I am from home. It is very different.

Back at home our new landlord came over to show us the ropes of the house and then we head back to the grocery store because we forgot dish soap hahaha.

We took the long route home and stopped by at Choopy’s a gluten free restaurant! Thank god there is one place to get cupcakes for me here! I got a kinder cupcake, it was 10/10.

I was so sleepy that I didn’t unpack and just went to bed. I’m glad I was so exhausted because it made falling asleep in a foreign bed much easier.
