Our new friend Enrique

I am now sitting at the Selina in Manuel Antonio getting caught up on blog posts and I realize my post from our Horse tour day was quite detailed and long, I do not have the energy to add so much detail to this one because I get to check in soon so I am going to tell the story of this day through photos more than descriptions. Also I really don’t have the words to describe how cool this day was…

Moral of the story is a local showed us around all day and absolutely made our time time in Uvita. What a wonderful time and friend to have made!

We had a slow morning, made breakfast, got ready then Enrique our new friend came to meet us and take us for a free surf lesson. Talia hopped on his bike to go scope out the boards haha.

Did a surf lesson, hit the waves, I caught a few!

Refreshed with fresh coconut water.

Saw our dogs friends <3, they are the sweetest I want to take them home.

Lunch at Kimu, I love the Mexican Beef.

Visit a local waterfall and slide down a natural waterslide with a drop. Pulled some muscles in my neck from flexing to hard, it was a little nerve wracking but so cool!

Back to surf again, getting tired so only hit a few waves. Kaya is once again toasted. I was the only one who was unscathed. Shoutout to my long sleeve wetsuit and Zinc Enrique gave us.

Go to the Whales Tail, a natural formation only visible/ walkable at low tide. Gorgeous sunset and reflection of the sky. This place seemed like a movie, I couldn’t believe it was real.

Last dinner as a group - very fancy at Simu. Delicious. This kind of meal would cost hundreds for all of us in Canada but I think each plate ended up being like $20-35 and we got fresh gelato for dessert.
